Vélosophy – part bicycle, part philosophy.

From day one we wanted Vélosophy to be different – in a good, ethically-minded way. Therefore, we came up with our One for One promise; Vélosophy donates a bicycle to a young schoolgirl in a developing country for every bicycle we sell.

The donation bike, the Buffalo Bicycle, designed by World Bicycle Relief, isn’t your typical bike. While most of the world’s bicycles are lightweight, complex and made for recreation, the Buffalo is designed to meet the pressing needs of people in rural regions of developing countries. Together with industry leaders there’s a commitment to creating a stronger, simpler, and sustainable bicycle that can withstand harsh rural conditions.

We realise that not everyone is in a position to buy a bicycle from us but still wants to help. For this reason we want to make it possible for you to still buy a bicycle for a schoolgirl, helping her achieve a brighter future.

For our One for One promise we have partnered up with World Bicycle Relief  to ensure the bicycles will reach these schoolgirls securely. World Bicycle Relief have since 2005 helped people conquer the challenge of distance, achieve independence and thrive. They focus on mobilizing people through the Power of Bicycles.
