Sandqvist and Vélosophy are pleased to announce their first commuter bag, a collaboration between Stockholm’s expert bag designers and the global ‘One for One’ bicycle manufacturer.
Together, Vélosophy and Sandqvist have created a highly functional 3-way backpack with quality and multi-function in mind, focusing on the commuter’s need for carrying daily essentials.

As part of the collaboration, the brands have created a limited edition Sandqvist x Vélosophy bicycle in sand, with details in royal blue that matches the lining of the bag. The 3-way backpack is black, with cross stitches on handles and leather pullers, blue lining and adjustable webbing strips across the front. Water resistant ripstop fabric and mixed in leather details are used to create a contemporary and luxurious look.
The collaboration pays special attention to functionality – the bag can be carried as a backpack, briefcase or shoulder bag, complete with a removable shoulder strap as well as top and side handles. Additional features include a rain cover with a reflective print which can be stored in a mesh pocket at the base of the bag, a padded laptop compartment to fit 15” laptops, as well as a number of slip pockets for safe storage of essentials.
As part of the Sandqvist x Vélosophy collaboration, Sandqvist will donate 100 2-way briefcase/messengers to charity organisation The Fortress, who work towards providing young, ejected and pregnant women in Uganda a temporary home and safe environment during their pregnancy/delivery. The bags will be part of a back-to-school project that The Fortress now is working on. In addition, the limited edition Sandqvist x Vélosoqhy bicycles come with Vélosophy’s One-For-One promise, supporting young school girls in Ghana with a bicycle for every Vélosophy bicycle sold.
